Successful and highly knowledgeable Chartered Financial Planner with over 17 years of experience. The role entails providing tailored independent advice to clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
Over the last 9 years, due to the type of clients I work with, a lot of the advice I have provided has been around more specialised areas such as Defined Benefit Pensions, Family Businesses, Tax and Trusts.
In addition to this, I have been involved in establishing a Graduate Financial Planner scheme and been a mentor to the Trainee Financial Planner. This involved interviewing potential candidates, conducting monthly 1-2-1s, being shadowed in meetings, assessing role-plays and providing feedback, and ensuring Trainee is competent in their role as a Financial Planner.
Trained to become a qualified Financial Planner
To obtain the Advanced Diploma and eventually attain my Chartered status, I required 5 years of industry experience and pass various exams including:
- Personal Tax and Trust Planning
- Pension Planning
- Investment Planning
To obtain Certified Financial Planner status, i needed to complete a Case Study that took a year to complete. The case study required me to provide cashflow and advice covering complex areas such as tax and trusts.
To obtain Diploma status, I was required to pass numerous amounts of exams in particular on Tax, Trusts, Pensions and Investments.
Have obtained numerous Certificate Qualifications by sitting various exams, as a result I hold the following qualifications:
