Responsibility for delivery of St Mungo's services across two London boroughs. Within my area I have overall responsibility for the implementation of the rough sleeping strategy and initiative along with the rapid rehousing pathways, this includes an outreach team and team of rough sleeping coordinators alongside this I also manage the single homeless advice service, coordinators and navigators within that. In the second borough which I moved from recently but still oversee, I am responsible for 4 supported housing projects for women and the LGBTQ pathway. I was seconded from St Mungos to join the starting over project with Turning Point. Starting Over was a tri borough criminal justice initiative working with local authorities, probation and police. My role was to lead on homelessness including training and supporting staff to have a better understanding. Moreover, I had to develop accommodation pathways with local authorities and private providers to support clients who are at high risk of reoffending.
I worked with homeless people who had a complex history of multiple support needs and helped the reconnect with support services and ultimately into appropriate accommodation services.
I was an offender manager based within London Probation. Initially I started off community pay back working solely with offenders sentenced to community orders, I then trained as an offender manager working with medium and high risk offenders both in custody and the community. I worked closely with a wide rage of multi agency partnerships including attendance at MAPPA and MARAC meetings.
I was part of an academic research team commissioned by community group to undertake research into the living wage campaign. This role involved working closely with lead researcher and migrant groups to facilitate and interview migrant workers on low wages. This culminated in what is now the London Living Wage.
I was an outreach support worker working with street sex workers. My main responsibilities were advocacy and signposting. I worked closely with the women to support them to access appropriate services. Harm minimisations and safe sex advice was given regularly.
