I've had managerial tasks from the age of 21
I've managed many award-winning projects locally and internationally. Most of which are under my Rivergreen Development Days I was there only project manager.
Projects range from Grade Two listed buildings and slaking our own lime on site .To hi tech Hi security telly houses in London and Sweden. Also environmentally friendly BREAM accredited serviced offices in the north east.

I'm slightly different from most project managers
For my 25 years at Rivergreen developments. As well as running the sites on a day to day basis .I Also attended all Design and pre start meetings ,for my input
Quantity surveyor
measuring quantities from design drawings and obtaining quotations for budget.
Budget creator and coordinator
Obtaining estimates for large elements of the projects from sub contractors.
Site engineer.
Setting out all buildings ,roads and drainage[.In the early days with dumpy levels tapes and string lines]
H&S representative.
Creating all H&S plans.and monitoring on site.
Supervising all trades on site

I served my Four years apprentice ship with Sunderland public works I worked on several sites around Sunderland and Washington. Both residential and commercial. At the age of 21 i was promoted to charge hand. A lot of my time at the public works was spent working along side one foreman in particular Ronnie Whitehead. I was on site from day one and this is where i picked up a lot of my knowledge i have today . i would mark out the sites with Ronnie and a engineer. Then i would work with all tradesmen until joinery work was required.
