Driven individual with strong desire to learn and progress within electrical industry. Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills within a strict timeframe.
During my employment at Lincs Fit, I worked across the country attending poultry farms for emergency breakdowns, complete new installations, equipment upgrades and scheduled maintenance. The job often entailed working under pressure but safely, as many of the systems we maintained are essential for the welfare of the livestock and excessive downtime was not acceptable. I was also able to strengthen the skills that I gained at college as mechanical engineering and welding knowledge was used on a daily basis. A few examples of the equipment I am proficient in maintaining and repairing are; chain and auger driven feed delivery systems, assembly of bulk feed storage silos(5-25 tons), reduction gear drive units, suspended winch equipment, conveyer and drive chain based systems used to transport eggs.
I applied for and got this job when I felt that in my previous employment there was little room for progression and expansion of my job role. I also felt it would be of great value and experience to work towards getting my level 3 NVQ in electrical installation. During my time here, I have gained extensive knowledge of electrical principles in both domestic and industrial settings. Much of my time at work currently consists of maintaining three phase equipment and environmental controls such as energy management, air pressure, air velocity, air temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration. I have also spent considerable time completing electrical installation works such as distribution(400v), data, alarms, environmental monitoring and CCTV. My previous experience has also proven useful in my current employment as I'm working maintenance shifts, both mechanical and electrical at a poultry hatchery.
