Having just completed my degree in Sports Coaching at Solent University, I am looking to secure my first full time role in coaching. I am enthusiastic about all sports but have a specific leaning towards football and rugby.
I have gained experience in coaching roles and sport throughout my senior education having secured a placement at England Rugby ; volunteering as an assistant coach with a successful Under 15s rugby team and logging over 130 hours as a Young Rugby Ambassador as well as coaching junior football.
My degree has involved valuable coaching placements with Solent University Rugby and Solent Men's Futsal from which I have developed a strong understanding of coaching techniques including strength and conditioning and performance analysis.
I have always been interested in how sport can build confidence in young people who have been lacking in self-esteem and I believe a role in sports coaching would be an excellent and unique opportunity to further my experience in athletic performance, coaching and mentoring. I am confident in my ability to bring a dynamic, dedicated and valuable presence to a sports coaching role and would assure a future employer of my absolute commitment, enthusiasm and hard work.
Assisted PE staff at a local primary school in a range of sporting activities as part of my secondary education.
Established a good relationship with the teaching staff and pupils and started to develop my coaching skills
As part of a work experience placement with England Rugby I assisted the Rugby Community Coach for Hampshire and the IOW, coaching, refereeing and development of rugby in schools
