Alafair Dunn

I am Alafair Dunn, aged 16, and I am seeking a casual part-time job as a lifeguard, ideally to fit around my studies and after-school commitments. Over the recent half-term holiday (February 2025), I completed the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Level 3) at Stamford Bridge, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I am currently attending Tranby School, where I am studying for my GCSEs (June 2025). I plan to study for my A levels at Wyke Sixth Form College, and am interested in career options in medicine, sport or law.

I am very physically active, training six times a week at Vulcan Boxing Club in Hull, and regularly fighting competitively. I also attended an international training camp in Tenerife in January 2025.

I am hardworking, polite, approachable and enthusiastic. I like teamwork but am also confident working on my own. I completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2024. I am passionate about people and have a particular interest in working with children. I also enjoy the creative arts and have a keen interest in medical art.

• Finalist in Humberside Police Lifestyle Awards, raising money for neonatal and stillbirth death charity.
• Other charity fundraising has included sponsored events for Brathay Trust and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust.
• Former member of the East Riding Percussion Ensemble and participated in a tour to Vienna.
