The company I worked for provided training to make sure I was well-prepared for working in a teaching role. I split my time between multiple schools with the ultimate goal of supporting students of GCSE level with English in the classroom, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. I stayed proactive when outside of work by attending and holding meetings with other fellow tutors where we shared our individual experiences and how to improve them, allowing us to grow as a team and develop our tutoring approach. Pre-planning lessons by collaborating with teachers as a team also ensured I could provide teaching methods and resources at the right standard to meet each student's individual needs. I overall found it both a challenging and rewarding experience that made me a more competent individual.

This role mainly consisted of preparing and selling food produce that would help business commercial to grow and to meet the needs of the customers. I maintained the upkeep of the café to ensure it remained a safe and positive social hub so that it continued to serve the community in a fulfilling way. Becoming a part of the team was very easy as we helped each other when our own tasks were completed to ensure proficiency. Although I was only there a short length of time I came away having learnt how to work in an efficient and practical manner and how to stay a motivated team player.

My job primarily consisted of displaying and decorating products within the shop to help sell their merchandise and to create an inviting setting to encourage customers to come into the store. Working and discussing with team members allowed me to meet the correct demands that the shop needed in order to operate in a successful way.
