

I have worked in 2 brilliant school
which I have met some lovely people which I have learnt so much from.
Plus I bring my own Personal experience as I have bring up my own child with special needs too
I have learnt some makaton from working in schools and for my grandson
plus learnt nursery songs to help my grandson to do makaton .
I do have dyslexic and anxiety which I hope this doesn't effect me looking for a job
Iam quick at learning new thing and I can work on my own as an 1 to 1 or in a team.
I work with an non verbal child with changlling behaviour
This child need to have 2 people with him every school day
At first I work with another Support worker
where we would meet the child at the classroom then we would take him to the well being room to do some sensory activities
After we finished in the well being room we would try to go back to the classroom if the child didn't want to then we would go to the cabin to do our learning activities
All the learning activities was set out by the classroom teacher
I was working on my own for sometime with this child (why the school would found another Support worker)
Every two weeks the classroom teachers would set out work for us to follow we / I would set out each day activities and put it in folder ( English maths sensory stroy folders ) to show the the classroom teacher at the end of the two weeks
I would also support other SEN CHILDREN in the cabin at lunchtime
I would give the classroom teacher and parents feedback at the end of the day
The experience i learnt Attention bucket and the sensory stroy sensory activities
I showed them to other support workers in the school And the folders I made up
Every day we would meet the twin at the office and sing them good morning song on the way to the rainbow classroom
I work in a little classroom called the rainbow room where there was twin boys who was non verbal with changlling behaviour the boys need to have 2 people to each child every school day
When I started working at Carlisle School I
would work with another Support worker
To show me the Daily routine
How to set out the day and support me for a few weeks
I then work on my own with this child for a few weeks why the school would found another Support worker (the school was support me through this )
Then I would work on my own Set out every activity
Then another Support worker would be put with me where we would support each other and plain the activity out every day
We would support the child in every activities we would do even like sports day school trip school photos day and get him ready for his new school by going to his new school and support him why he there
Every day we would give the parents feedback on how our day's was
