An experienced and people focused individual who has the enthusiasm and skills to share my experience with others
I set up and managed a successful independent letting agency for over 29 years in the Lincoln area offering management services to landlords of over 200 residential and student properties.
Building and looking after a small team, I was responsible for ensuring the staff had sufficient training and understanding of the work needed which included establishing and maintaining client relations with our landlords, tenants and contractors, the day to day management functions needed to operate successfully and control of the accounting functions, audit and compliance matters within the branch.
Since 2018 we implemented Alto as our property management software product so I have a broad knowledge of all aspects of its property management functions. Our agency was also involved in beta testing of new elements of the platform.
With almost 30 years of experience in the industry my expertise is second to none and as I always had a hands on approach, I am very familiar with the day to day functions involved in running a letting agency and the legislation that needs to be met.
I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy dealing with people, I have an approachable and calm manner. My in depth understanding of the industry allows me to effectively show and impart that knowledge to others.
Good structured training is paramount the smooth running of a successful team. To deliver quality training not only requires the trainer to have a good understanding of the process and be aware of any legal requirements that need to be considered but to engage and encourage the students to consider how they currently deal with this aspect and to ask questions and consider scenarios so the trainer can help them understand more fully both what this process does and how to use it to deliver a better solution to their current way of working. Additionally by encouraging them to understand how to best use a Help module will aid continued learning long after the trainer’s initial training session.
