Timothy Hopkins

Before graduating from High School in December 2023, I was involved in a few non-profit projects, where I put the skills stated below into practice. These included several mission trips to Zimbabwe with New Life Community Services (NGO), and a volunteer-run group at Karl Bremer public hospital in the Western Cape, South Africa. After graduating in December 2023, I focused on training to swim at the South African Olympic Swimming trials, where my relay team achieved a bronze medal in the 4 x 50m Freestyle event. Before being accepted to start my studies at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK in September 2024, I held down two jobs, showing my determination and high work ethic.

• Coffee barista at Protea Valley church, Durbanville, Western Cape, South Africa
• The Daisy Project - a volunteer-run project at Karl Bremer public hospital, Western Cape, South Africa, which included tasks like data capturing of folders and assisting premature babies and their mothers in the Paediatric ward
• 4 mission trips completed into Zimbabwe, Gwayi river, run by New Life Community Services (NGO) throughout High school, lasting around 2 weeks each, which included tasks like maintenance work to schools, and distributing food and clothes to local communities
