  • Responsible to the MD for delivery of specialist technology based projects within the UK Water Division: Design & Build and Engineered Systems business areas of the Company, managing a team of Project Managers/Engineers. Customers were both UK Water Companies and their Tier 1 framework contractors.
  • Responsible for the management of construction sites with a team of Site Managers / Supervisors, and Commissioning engineers. Worked closely with the Company H&S Manager to ensure the highest level of Safety standards were achieved.
  • Responsible for financial performance across all projects, conducting internal monthly project reviews and working closely with the CFO's to agree consolidated out-turns.
  • Responsible for staff recruitment consistent with project delivery needs, and personal development.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the wider Projects team, and to ensure contract obligations were respected whilst identifying & controlling business risk.
  • Provided close support to Business Development and Proposals teams by direct Client liaison, bid preparation / commentary, staff & site cost allocation, bid presentations and contract negotiation.
  • Worked with the QA team during merger of two business streams to refresh & align working procedures for project & site management, and the approach to formal close out reviews of completed projects.
