Purchased The Melton Cheeseboard in July 2005, developed it into a destination for cheeselovers, especially Stilton cheese, from the county and wider. Increased range to 160 different cheeses, specialising in British Farmhouse cheeses, along with a wide range of complementary products, especially locally sourced food and drink ranges. Developed wholesale business providing cheeses to local pubs, restaurants and butchers. Multiple award winners including: Best local food shop/Farm shop, Leicestershire Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2019; Best Food Shop of the Year 2020 Great Food Club; Best Independent Retailer Award Melton times Business Award 2011; The Top 50 Food Shops outside London, Sunday Telegraph Magazine, October 2012.

Ran Farmers Market stalls, local Food Festivals, and attended other local events with our cheeses.

Organised talks with local WI/Rotary/wine circles.

Sold via mail order, particularly on the run up to Christmas.

Emphasis on customer service, product quality, product knowledge and attention to detail.

Sold business in June 2023.
