Mclarense groups is the local agent for Gulf Oil Marine India. GOM has been catering to both International and local markets with products ranging from all marine lube grades of the Gulf Oil Marine family to Gear Oils, Hydraulic Oils, Compressor Oils and the Greases at all port locations of Colombo, Galle, Trincomalee and Hambantota Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintained stock reports for IBC tanks / Drums and pails.
  • Directly liaised with mainliners and feeder lines for the orders to supply to their vessels. (Obtaining updates of the vessel ETA, ETB, ETB, and the terminal)
  • Communicated with the drivers and the warehouse team to collect the exact order from the warehouse to deliver it to the vessel on time.
  • Arranged a barge if the vessel calls to Anchorage, OPL or any outer location.
  • Sent 100 emails to customers each day to advertise the product.
  • Maintained weekly sales report to report to the principals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintained CBF (customer booking Forecasts) for both services (IBS – Colombo to Chittagong) (SBS – Colombo to Kolkata) which was handled by myself.
  • Making sure that the vessel was filled with containers for the required amount of teus and tonnage of the vessel.
  • Directly liaised with mainline and NVOCC customers.
  • Finalizing the bookings before the vessel arrives to Colombo with the operations team.
  • Daily Vessel updates to principals in Singapore.
  • Maintaining Monthly, yearly, and weekly sales reports
  • Responding to emails and calls punctually.
  • Sending the schedule to all mainline and NVOCC operators.
  • Providing opening 4 days prior to the vessel arriving and checking if the local exports have arrived on time for loading.
  • Checking on DG/ OOG / reefer containers and obtaining prior approvals from the principals to load.

  • E- Manifest to customs
  • Obtaining on carriers and declaring transshipment allocation to the feeder agents.
