On call volunteer to support Community First Responders under the 'Good Sam' scheme, during which I am required to:

• Collect and deliver emergency equipment to incident scenes, ensuring timely access for responders.
• Assist First Responder with CPR and defibrillation, contributing to immediate patient care.
• Calm patients and ensure bystanders maintain a safe distance for bystanders during incidents.
• Submitting a report after the incident.

To date, I have assisted at 15 assignments.

This role requires the following actions:

• Conducting safety checks and risk assessments before guest arrivals, documenting details in official log book and monitoring weather and sea conditions throughout the trip.
• Greeting guests and delivering safety briefing prior to departure, ensuring passenger awareness of safety protocols.
• Operating the boat and conducting radio communications.
• Administering first aid as needed for passengers and staff.
• Managing evacuation and launch of lifeboats during emergencies, ensuring passenger safety and adherence to protocols.

I worked on the constuction and deconstruction of fairground rides at the Winter Wonderland temporary mobile theme park in Central London, which required:

• Ensuring safety while working at great heights on scaffolding for myself and others.
• Using hand and power tools to assemble equipment in accordance with strict instructions and specifications to meet essential safety standards.
• Working as part of a team, building supportive working relationships.

After construction, I was retained for the duration of the event to assist with operational needs.

• Undertaking regular safety checks on rides.
• Responding to passengers experiencing panic attacks on rides, climbing structure to provide reassurance and support until they were fit for the ride to resume.
• Monitoring skating rink for collisions, cleared area around injured skater, and ensured their safety until site first aider arrived.

• Following prescribed methods and descriptions, preparing vegetables and desserts.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances to a high hygienic standard.
• Any other kitchen duties as required.
