• Commercial and industrial facilities management and installations.
• Installation of all forms of containment, including cable tray, metal and PVC trunking and conduit.
• Installation and termination of wiring in HO7RN-F, SWA, twin and earth and PVC single cables, depending on the installation requirements and specifications.
• Installation and replacement of single phase and three-phase distribution boards and consumer units.
• Inspection and testing of commercial and industrial installations to the latest BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Fault finding and rectification of final and distribution circuits.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing full Electrical Installation Condition Reports on social housing installations throughout East Ayrshire and Scotland. Reports conducted on a tablet provided by the company on site to improve efficiency and turnaround.
• Applying fault finding procedures to identify the location and severity of faults in conditions that would prove difficult for most.
• Rectification of faults discovered through testing on site using testing equipment.
• Installation and replacement of electrical accessories where required to bring installations to an acceptable standard.
• Working under pressure to complete multiple jobs to a strict timescale, monitored via a tracked van and tablet.
• Conducting risk analyses and following health and safety protocols for every job completed on site.

Domestic and commercial electrical contractors:

• Domestic refurbishments and rewires, including work for building contractors such as large scale extensions and full house renovations, as well as occupied and unoccupied rewires
• Domestic and commercial EICRs, including all associated paperwork and testing
• EICRs and remedial work for several estate and letting agencies in Ayrshire
• New electrical installations
• Electric Vehicle charging points, domestic and commercial, single phase and three-phase
• Commercial office block upgrades and refurbishment, including LED lighting upgrades, data runs, socket installations

Responsibilities include:

• Being provided with a work van, to complete jobs alone
• Responsible for an apprentice
• Liaising with clients and other trades to stay on top of work to run a smooth job
• Submitting paperwork to an office on time as jobs are completed
• Work covering all of the Ayrshire and Glasgow areas, occasionally going as far as Livingston and Edinburgh

Full apprenticeship served with this company, coming on in December 2016, beginning apprenticeship in August 2017.
