  • I undertook a work placement with the Wedgwood Museum as part of the Preparation for Employment unit for the BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism at Stoke on Trent College. Duties included assisting visitors, answering telephone calls, giving guided tours to visitor both from the United Kingdom and abroad. Assisting the Marketing department with their campaign to attract more visitors, in particular, overseas visitors and archive research. From my placement at the museum, I was recruited to become a visitor host at the Wedgewood Visitor Centre.

  • My duties included processing and packaging cheese whilst maintaining strict quality checks for various supermarket chains which are the company’s customers. I have also had office experience for Gap Personnel, an onsite employment agency during a work placement for a university-based project in 2013 - duties included producing shift plans, time sheets and invoicing wages. I also delivered Health and Safety inductions to employees beginning work at the factory. The production operative role was between my studies, seasonal work and during covid and onwards my full-time employment. I currently work in the security lodge. Duties include ensuring contractors are checked in, health and safety onsite measures are adhered to and data inputting and checking in and out goods on site by various transport operators both nationally and internationally.

  • I worked for a European/UK Tour Operator Eurocamp during the Spring, Summer and Autumn seasons on holidays parks overseas. In 2014 I worked my first season in France, and from 2015 to 2017 in Switzerland, then in 2018 and 2019 in the Netherlands. My duties involved looking after guests and making sure that they are having a satisfying and enjoyable holiday experience. Also, duties included cleaning and preparing customer accommodation, meeting, and greeting guests, visiting guests to make sure everything was fine during their holiday. If guests had any problems or emergency’s, making sure that it was dealt within as soon as possible, which meant being on emergency call out. My duties also gave me the opportunity to speak French, Dutch which I self taught myself and utilise and improve my German skills with guests.
