  • Daily supervision of the TUI dispatch operations at Manchester airport to ensure the distribution of safe, compliant, efficient, on time, customer focused ground operations processes and activities whilst working closely with other departments making key operational decisions and completing required auditing of CAA paperwork
  • Allocating the TUI Dispatch team of up to 25 individuals to ensure all TUI aircraft arrivals, departures and turnarounds are covered by a certified Dispatchers.

  • During my first year at college studying engineering, I was fortunate enough to be picked out of hundreds of candidates after a competitive interview stage to take part in a 3-week work experience programme with TUI Airways working within the line maintenance section of the business on their 737,767 and 787 aircraft fleet
  • I performed a range of duties which included: Participated and played out a key role in carrying out a wheel replacement on a 787-8 aircraft (G-TUIA) using required tools and paperwork to make a quick, effective but safe wheel change
  • Looking through aircraft tech logs and identify any areas of the aircraft that needs to be inspected, fixed or replaced
  • Carrying out aircraft programme system restarts and test to identify any problems with the aircraft key systems such as air con, pitot tubes and autopilot systems
  • Completing Regular checks of the primary flight controls of the aircraft to make sure all components were working as intended.
