• Experience with measuring devices such as digital and analog calipers, straight edges, squares and exposure to CMM
• Calibration of equipment on calipers, balances & single/duplex thermocouples for High fire kilns
• Writing and signing of certificates of conformity (CofC) and test certificates for customers

• Knowledge of various chemistry subjects and material science when investigating wastage in manufacturing processes and failure of products during service when/if required.
• Knowledge of semiconductor materials/products mainly with tin and indium oxide including testing of resistances and resistivity calculations to ensure specifications met for customers.
• Destructive testing experience- with cold crushing strength in manufactured products
• Laboratory experience to achieve quality assurance objectives such as gradings of raw materials.
• Carrying out density porosity with a variety of methods including water, oil and mercury.
• Supervisory experience to ensure quality is maintained during production processes.
• Experience with hydraulic, isostatic(cold) and pneumatic machinery.
• Good working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques- Kaizen, Kanban systems and 8d/ 5s, six sigma principles
• Personally responsible for arranging gathering of data for kpis such as OEE
• Experience using ERP and MRP systems
• Upkeeping Dyson's quality control data such as SPC databases and interpreting and presenting data
• Experience using cranes and pulleys for use with heavy electrode blocks
• Strong use of microsoft packages, word excel powerpoint and at times microsoft access for databases
• Experience producing SOP's for processes and writing risk assessments
• Calculation of cost prices for products for use in monthly waste figure reports
• Root cause analysis report writing experience
• Raising of non-conformances through the use of non conforming report (NCR)
