At Llewellyn Smith I was tasked with working mainly on Microsoft Excel, creating spreadsheets, submitting invoices for clients and communicating professionally via emails and telecommunication. Sadly due to being only a summer placement I couldn't continue working but I thoroughly enjoyed my time in this role and I am very willing to learn and progress in office-based work environments. Being heavily proficient in a wide variety of computer-based applications gives me an apt understanding and allows me a smooth transition into learning new software and interfaces.
At Home Bargains I was part of a vast and ever-changing team and I was constantly on my feet. I was tending to customer queries, working under management to ensure a quick and efficient delivery, maintaining shop standards to provide a professional and clean environment for customers, ensuring exceptional customer service while working on the till and having an extensive knowledge of all products for customer satisfaction
Ladbrokes was an incredible opportunity, before even starting employment I already had an extensive knowledge of almost all sports and games provided, and from there on my understanding only grew as I began to learn so much more from colleagues and customers. At Ladbrokes I was apart of a much smaller but a much more personal team, and a much smaller clientele, this allowed me to become very close with customers and staff alike, knowing who they are and learning all about their hobbies and interests. I have a great understanding of safer gambling tools, how to spot a problem gambler (and how to properly approach someone when they need to be spoken to about it) and I know the proper procedures on think 25.
Working at the BP has been fantastic, the team of people I have had the chance to work has been amazing. I have made sure to learn all about our products and services to give customers the best shopping experience I can. I have also been tasked with working a lot of solo-close shifts, this has been instrumental to my time management, service skills and attentiveness, being the only staff member available I would constantly be asked questions about products, asked for help with our outside machinery and I would have to make sure that I was getting all my tasks completed in an acceptable and timely manner, all while also serving customers on the register.
