In the three-year period I was at Archdeacon, I was responsible for the academic progress of over 90 children, across two different year groups (3 and 5). I have been part of a team in designing a creative, intriguing and challenging curriculum. I have also confidently led PE across the school, planning fixtures, tournaments and a school wide sports and fitness week. I also have extensive experience working with different SEN needs and working alongside parents and Learning Support Assistants to aim to provide supportive environments for all. I also have experience working with EAL children, having worked in a school previously with over 95% EAL children. I believe that the teacher I have become is not by chance, but a product of hard work, self-reflection and desire.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Class Teacher
  • Creating and delivering the curriculum
  • Subject leader (PE) including reporting the financial expenditure and school impact.
  • Supporting SEN, EAL and PP children
  • Supporting children on residentials, trips, tournaments and fixtures

Head/Lead Coach, Assistant Coach, Junior Coach

WeMakeFootballers
2016.09 - 2021.09

In the four-year time period in which I had been with the company, I grew through the company and gained experience that has allowed me to develop from a Junior coach all the way to in some instances leading a group of four or more coaches. This provided me with a great deal of responsibility over a large group of children, alongside being able to effectively help the smoothness of the session run and further, to ensure positive experiences of all involved. Punctuality, Confidence and effective communication are key skills acquired through this experience, alongside a strong development of coaching delivery and understanding.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Coach: Ensure all coaches are aware of roles and ensure effective running of the session and be able to deal with spontaneous issues that arise, such as issues regarding children and parents.
  • Head coach: ensure I am aware of my role, and the role of my assistant alongside the effective delivery of the session and safeguarding of children within my groups.
  • Worked with Children aged 4-12
  • Awarded Young Coach of The Year 2017
