Graduating business management student with a strong interest in finance, data analysis and financial technology. Experience in a variety of volunteer and temporary positions focused on supporting the running of a larger team, in both administrative and technical roles. I value proactiveness, curiosity and hands-on experiences - especially within roles with the opportunity to utilise my interest in operations, advocacy and international economics. Looking for a position to gain experience and grow my skills whilst supporting the operations of a larger and more experienced organisation.

Volunteer Campaign/Social's Officer

LGBTQ+ Forum Executive, Lancaster University

  • Role was to promote equality to wider university and representiong forum within Student Union
  • Managed budget and created campaigns around University such as informational posters and social media campaigns
  • Writing my roles spending report for the student union budget analysis
  • Created and delivered forum run events and social activities, often including catering and being available to assist and support members
  • Worked as part of public facing executive team to handle personal concerns and issues for forum members during events. On occasions this involved conflict resolution and conducted risk assessments for events to ensure member safety
  • Ensuring effective communication between other groups and departments within University and external partner agencies, such as local health services and guest speakers
  • Handled sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, adhering to union guidelines
  • Collaborated with colleagues for effective teamwork and facilitated smooth communications between departments for better coordination

IT Operations Assistant

  • Role was to assist faculty in smooth running of ISS IT services
  • Checked teaching areas and IT lab spaces to ensure equipment functioned appropriately and reported any issues
  • Under direction of IT engineers assisted with taking delivery of equipment, physical setting up and routine care of new PCs, printers and IT equipment (both hardware and software)
  • Changed toners and delivery of paper to University printers across Campus
  • Supported Agile Working project, packing up IT equipment, installing webcams and installing equipment in hot desk areas. Was able to ensure smooth operation with proper inventory recording
  • Gained understanding of internal financial and data systems used within department and how they interface with those of the wider organisation

  • Knowledge on and a strong commitment to studying the business finance domain - selected modules on introduction to financial accounting and then separately their usage day to day and for wider business decisions Enabling me to then focus on their practical usage; 3 modules on business data analytics including the Excel and SPSS software's Alongside this I gained a more practical understanding of core finance principles and ability to apply them in my volunteering roles such as budget planning and reporting
  • An understanding of international approaches to business and some study of current fintech usage such as AI, machine learning, blockchain tech and open backing
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Evidenced throughout all of my roles - for example successfully reaching out to and working with external partners whilst volunteering as Campaigns Officer
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to the level of a non technical audience utilised most frequently in my degree where it was required and practiced on several projects and presentations
  • Proactive- instead of waiting for a task I will propose a problem statement, model, approach and solution- an example of which being reaching out to fellow union teams with experience in transportation logistics over starting from scratch
  • Experienced in both team work and working independently - both of which where required in my degree projects, volunteer work and paid roles to high standards

Relevant Wider Interests

Travel, linguistics and learning about differences in cultures- have enjoyed trips to historical sites around central Europe whilst visiting family and some university summer programmes to this extent.


Two examples of which being:

Summer 2024 spent two weeks in Chengdu, China at the University on a summer school programme based around global advances in Fintech


Summer 2025- will be spending a month in Malaysia on a University summer school programme, focused on their countries culture, businesses, government, and academics.
