Tulley’s Farm Shocktober Fest

  • During the Halloween season, I was employed as an actor in one of the scare attractions at Tulley’s Farm’s yearly Shocktober Fest
  • Throughout this season, around 60,000 visitors attend this Halloween event where they are immersed in loads of scary experiences
  • By doing this job, I learnt a lot about myself regarding how driven I am to complete my job to the best of my ability
  • Attended various auditions with a 100% success rate.
  • Improvised character presentation and conversations with guests to provide an immersive experience.
  • I had to assure that I was in character throughout my entire shift which would make the experience for our customers a lot more immersive and almost real
  • Worked with various special effects, fog, strobes and loud sounds.
  • Researched character types and delivered appropriate voice, gesture and physical presentation.
  • Exceptional skills in voice acting, special body movements and facial expressions to elicit strong responses from the audience.
  • It took a lot of willpower and determination to push through this season of very tiring and exhausting work which pushed my body to insane limits, but I was taught so much about my body’s capabilities and my drive to do what I love which is performing
