
As an experienced Community Facility manager (3 yrs), Family support worker (4yrs) and Children & Young person manager ( 20+ years), the roles include developing and promoting community services and various engagement programmes and learning environments.
The role of a Community Centre Manager fosters inclusive environments and driving community engagement in programmes or activities is paramount for the community and the centre to thrive. Leading initiatives that increase community participation and introducing successful social impact programmes, improves overall well-being, reduces isolation. Building strong stakeholder relationships and managing resources effectively creates impactful outcomes whilst promoting collaborative working with other organisations and agencies. Recent grant funding has driven forward the centres long term sustainability using renewable energy thus creating financial and environmental resilience. Increased social experiences for the elderly community has had a positive impact on wellbeing and companionship. The role includes managing all aspects of income and expenditure whilst being responsible for all Health & Safety matters, Governance and Procedures including Safeguarding in the centre.
As a committed and experienced Family support worker and Children & Youth manager, these roles have developed experience in public-facing roles across Social care, Family support and intervention services, Childcare providers and Health professionals. By communicating in a honest and professional approach, underpinned with empathy and a trauma-informed perspective, advocating for individuals /families to these professionals in order for their voice to be heard and understood is an important part of the role. Being committed to inclusivity, Safeguarding, GDPR and confidentiality, support and engagement always centres on the needs of individuals and families.
