Main responsibilities and duties during the self employed assignments:

• Operated hoists, slide sheets and other equipment to assist patients transfers and daily routines.
• Bowel management.
• Assisted clients with daily household cleaning, laundry and food preparation.
• Administered medication with rigorous planning and recordkeeping.
• Maintained client dignity and respect throughout dressing, showering and toileting.
• Prevented accidents and falls by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of service user homes.
• Observed and documented vital signs, promptly reporting abnormalities for monitoring.
• Created positive relationships with clients through practical support and companionship, improving overall quality of life.
• Produced weekly patient progress reports, enabling appropriate reviews and amendments to care plans.
• Accompanied clients to medical or dental appointments, grocery and errands.
• Updated doctors and family members on client progress.

Live-in Care provided to the clients suffering from: Alzheimer's and Dementia (Young and Late Onset), Parkinson's, MS, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke.

Moving and Handling, Dementia Care (SPECAL method), Parkinson’s Care, End of Life Care, First Aid, PEG feeding, Catheter care, Medication Management, Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Working in Care Services

• Intensive English language study (ESL classes) combined with the child care duties.
