  • In my current role as Head of Books at Forbidden Planet I control both the stock of books within the store and the rotation of new and old books into circulation
  • I am very experienced with the EPOS stock system which we use to add and alter stock and I regularly keep in contact with the company's buyer to advise on new/old stock, promotions and visual ideas for the department
  • This is a very customer focused role, I interact with customers both within the store and on the phone during opening hours and give general advice on different genres of reading, learning or cult entertainment material
  • This is also a physically demanding role, we process deliveries 5 to 6 days of the week in store and distribute accordingly
  • I take an active role in laying out my department and how it looks for customers when they are shopping and enjoy cross merchandising to introduce different titles of books to onlookers.
