In this role, I acted as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring every check-in was smooth, welcoming, and tailored to their individual needs. Booking management was also a core responsibility, involving the use of an online system to book cats in, which was regulated through responding to emails and phone call inquiries. It also included maintaining accurate records, including details such as veterinary information. Communication with pet owners continued throughout their cat's stay, providing updates and peace of mind.
Daily tasks included preparing and serving food to meet specific dietary requirements, administering medications safely, and offering attentive care to help each cat feel calm and settled. General grooming and one-on-one interaction were part of maintaining their wellbeing. Cleanliness was always a priority, with daily sweeping, litter tray changes, and surface cleaning, as well as thorough deep cleans and disinfection of pens between stays. The role also involved processing payments, including handling cash with accuracy and professionalism.
In my role at the stables, I provided daily care for a variety of animals including horses, donkeys, zebras, chickens, geese, dogs, and cats. I built strong relationships with owners through a friendly, reliable service, earning their trust in the care of their animals. My duties included feeding all animals, mucking out stables, grooming, picking hooves, and cleaning tack. I brought horses in from fields in all weather conditions and regularly handled physically demanding tasks such as carrying hay bales and water buckets, always ensuring a high standard of care and attention to detail.
