I am a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, a leading tertiary care and academic centre with a strong reputation in cancer research and treatment. My specialist interests are colorectal and breast cancer, and I serve as Principal Investigator for several clinical trials advancing evidence-based care and innovative therapies.
Alongside my clinical and research commitments, I am passionate about education and workforce development—mentoring and supervising junior doctors, teaching on regional MRCP PACES courses, and contributing to medical education as a member of the Nottingham Medical School Graduate Entry Medicine admissions panel.
With established leadership and management experience, I am eager to take on new challenges and work within dynamic, motivated teams—delivering high-quality patient care, driving innovation in oncology, and making a meaningful impact on healthcare.
I did my medical oncology training at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, a very prestigious cancer center in the United Kingdom. I had a very broad based holistic training in various tumour types including lung cancer , breast cancer, Upper
and Lower Gastrointestinal cancer, Melanoma, Urological
malignancies, Sarcoma, Germ cell cancer, Gynaecological cancer, Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) cancer, and cancer of the unknown primary.
I used to present cases in our weekly multi-disciplinary meetings, seeing new and follow up patients in outpatient clinic.
I also got ample opportunity to get involved in research projects leading to the presentation of a few posters in national and international conferences besides being the sub investigator of several clinical
trials.
Acute oncology on calls gave me a very diverse experience and confidence in managing acutely unwell oncology patients. During my training, I got several opportunities to gain leadership, management and teaching experience. I was the medical oncology trainee representative
I did my Core Medical Training in St Helen and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals. I did rotations in diabetes and endocrinology, stroke medicine, respiratory medicine and
cardiology.
My work schedule included looking after inpatients, doing on calls, and outpatient clinics.
I attended specialty clinics with the registrar or consultant.
I gained experience in procedures like lumbar puncture, pleural tap, ascetic tap and drain, central venous line, and chest drain. I actively participated in audit/quality improvement projects, presentations and departmental teaching sessions
