Protection Sector Focal:

• Conducting regular protection meetings among the protection actors to consolidate the humanitarian approach and improve the services
• Conducting regular field visits to communicate with the refugee community and address their needs after thorough assessment

Monitoring Implementing Partner:

• Monitoring the implementing partner of UNHCR at the field level in terms of number of counselling provided, cases received, referral conducted and resolution of cases
• Flagging any issue faced by the implementing partner to UNHCR to ensure refugees are receiving quality services.

Communication with the community:

• Conducting regular field visits to communicate with the refugee community and address their needs after a thorough assessment.
• Maintaining liaison with the government authority at the refugee camp level to ensure refugee access to humanitarian services.

Field Management:

• Providing protection support to the Rohingya population living on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border (No Man’s Land) through documentation of human rights violations, emergency evacuation during shooting and shelling, and protection monitoring.
• Collaborating with the team leader to facilitate interventions and implement International Humanitarian Law (IHL) with relevant authorities (Bangladesh Border Guard, Camp in Charge, Bangladesh Army) to ensure better access to services for the Person of Concern (PoC) and resolution of cases
• Conducting confidential debriefing of former detainees from Myanmar prison to produce comprehensive report and share with ICRC Myanmar Delegation as a reference for future prison visit.

Documentation:

• Maintaining meticulous records of individual cases in the organization`s comprehensive database and update cases based on follow ups and producing well-crafted organizational reports and updating thematic reports
• Producing well-crafted organizational reports and updating thematic reports such as security situations in the camps, forced relocation, repatriation, secondary migration, and armed groups' activities.

Stakeholder Management:

• Coordinating with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) to coach and monitor their volunteers (30) in capacity building and case management for ICRC funded RFL (Restoring Family Links) activities;
• Functioning as the alternate country focal point for PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) in the sub-delegation through attending meetings, trainings, designing safeguarding workshops and replicating important resources in the sub-delegation.
• Functioning as the focal person for Addressing Sexual Violence (ASV) within the sub-delegation and coordinating activities in Cox`s Bazar, such as- flagging GBV and sexual violence cases, training staffs, coordinating with Dhaka delegation.

Case Management:

• Adapted a survivor-centered approach for diligent case management and providing individual protection assistance
• Training colleagues and volunteers and supervising their activities through regular debriefs
• Provided case management support to ‘Gender Diverse Community Safe Space’ (for LGBTQI+ community) on ad hoc basis to ensure inclusive GBV programming and mitigate the protection risks.

Coordination:

• Being assigned as the GBV sub-sector focal point in the camp, displaying proactive coordination and adept liaison with relevant stakeholders to address pressing GBV concerns and foster an efficient and robust response
• Liaised with internal (shelter, child protection, livelihood) and external stakeholders (government officials, health, nutrition and other cross cutting service providers) to ensure smooth program implementation.

Volunteer management:

• Implemented a comprehensive volunteer management system, recruiting and training/coaching new volunteers and ensuring their regular activities were monitored effectively

• Conducted market research to support project initiatives, compiling and analysing data for team review.
• Collaborated with senior staff to develop marketing materials, enhancing brand visibility and engagement.
• Participated in brainstorming sessions, offering innovative ideas for project improvements and problem-solving.
• Shadowed daily activities of office staff to gain understanding of scope of work.
