I started this job as Duty Manager with my responsibility's being the basic for a management role however after two months I quickly proved my want to both learn and progress in this role. My official title is now Assistant General Manager however this title does not limit my willingness and engagement in roles outside of this.

The current roles I have taken:

• Social media marketing
• Stock count, ordering & sales analyst
• Assisting in event booking
• Staff training, motivating & performance evaluations
• HR
• Monitoring customer feedback
• Menu designing
• Managing a bar, restaurant and sold out event in one of our rooms for hire which can be up to 500 people at a time

This role was my first insight into what a management position is really like. This is where I learnt all the basics that have gotten me to where I am today.

During this role I learnt the following:

• How to safely open and close a building
• How to collaborate & make the most of my co-workers strengths/weaknesses
• How to cash up & manage a cash flow of up to 8 floats
• Dealing with staff wellbeing, queries & underperformance
• Dealing with a medical emergency for both staff & customer

I started this role with no previous experience however my eagerness to learn and succeed aloud me to become a staff trainer/supervisor once I had passed my probationary period. This job was where I learnt all about upselling, customer satisfaction and being able to think quickly on my feet to make the best of every situation.

This role helped me learn the following:

• Providing a fast checkout experience whilst maintaining a conversation that will add to the customers experience
• Offering advise & being well educated on our products
• Maintaining high stock levels for the concession stands even during peak periods
• Handling cash, card, voucher & gift card payments
• Creating visually appealing merchandising stands
• Maintaining a hygienic work place at all times
• Multi-tasking on a daily basis
