  • Performed MSc research project which looked at the feasibility of using Transport PEWS in the UK paediatric critical care transport setting.
  • Flight training with The Children’s Air ambulance (TCAA) and got the opportunity to do 1st helicopter transfer.
  • Established guidance for Paediatric central line insertion- right size and right length.

  • Managed my timetable and caseload at the child development centre to meet the RCPCH level 2/3 community paediatric curriculum requirements with the opportunity to shadow many community based multidisciplinary services. This included portage home visits, school visits, joint child development clinics, and multi-agency special educational needs (SEN) panel meetings.

  • Child protection medical clinics and gained a lot of insight into the process and wrote clear reports for CP medicals with consultant supervision.
  • Designed and coordinated the teaching rota for ST4-8 paediatric doctors in the department as per the RCPCH curriculum.
  • Audited the resuscitation equipment available in the community paediatric setting as against the set standards. Also conducted a staff survey involving health professionals working in community paediatric settings to assess their resuscitation training and identify training needs.
