Work history

Lifeguard

Woggle Goggle
Penrith, Cumbria
2023.04 - Current
  • Teaching lessons for 3 years now, from young babies with a parent and child class all the way up to continuous lengths in swim club. I can lead lessons for all stages, all 4 strokes, breaststroke, butterfly, front crawl and backstroke. This shows my understanding of how to communicate with children and identify weak swimmers easily.
  • I have worked on fun sessions and parties as poolside helpers, running activities such as water walkers and sea scooters.
  • During the February half term, I was a part of the NPLQ lifeguard training at Center Parcs and have gone through further training at Woggle Goggle and now lead fun sessions and parties as head lifeguard.
  • I am experienced in cleaning with closing checks to make the building safe and clean. I am also trained in responsible positions, such as putting on the pool cover.
  • During lessons with younger swimmers, I have carried out small-scale rescues and have rescued a child from a deflating water walker during a fun session.
  • I have my swimming teacher safety award, level 2.
  • As my job works closely with families, sometimes there are complaints from parents. This has taught me how to communicate calmly and diffuse a situation easily.

  • Completed deep cleaning tasks as instructed by supervising chef or manager.
  • Assisted chefs in food preparation for efficient meal service.
  • Supported overall restaurant operations through effective teamwork with other staff members.
  • Operated dishwashing machinery to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • In this position, it is professional as it is busy with tourists doing the coast-to-coast, therefore, I have to be good at customer service.
  • I have good personal skills as I communicate with the team and also with regular customers.
