I actively participate in case briefings to understand the surgical plan and patient-specific requirements. I assist with patient preparation including correct positioning, confirming patient identity and consent, and ensuring the patient is safely and comfortably transferred to the operating table.
My role also includes restocking theatre supplies, maintaining accurate inventory, and promptly escalating any shortages to ensure smooth workflow. I work closely with scrub and circulating staff, learning new procedures and surgical instruments to remain up-to-date with evolving theatre practices.
