I am a diligent and hardworking professional with experience that extends across a variety of different types of jobs, each with its own uniquely respective responsibilities and requirements. I have a strong ability to adapt to new working environments and have demonstrated a high capacity of understanding for programmes such as MS Office, Excel and managing successful social media and intranet platforms. My professionalism and creativity have allowed me to become the successful and driven individual that I am today.
After starting a family, I took a career break to begin my own business so that I could work flexibly around family commitments as a stop-gap until my children were both at school. Working as a self employed stylist and therapist has required me to have a good business ethic, learning how best to manage my time, resources and finances.
As Press Officer on the newsdesk I was working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment where I would be required to react swiftly to both incoming requests from the media whilst also issuing outward statements on behalf of government officials. I would also be responsible for handing Freedom of Information requests from the public. Due to media scrutiny, there was no room for error therefore my attention to both detail and accuracy of any information shared was imperative.
I was responsible for processing new cases onto the case management system, drafting witness statements and putting together court bundles on behalf of our client, a large UK mortgage lender.
