I currently work as a GP registrar; I see an average of 15 patients daily. My duties are but not limited to

• Clerking patients and drawing out a management plan
• Improving patient understanding of their health conditions by providing clear explanations and guidance.

As part of the requirements for full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), I did a 12-month Housemanship (Internship) where I worked in Four (4)major specialities: Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Surgery, Pediatrics, under the supervision of Registrars, Senior Registrars and Consultants. In each rotation:

• I clerked and examined patients and attended to Medical emergencies, such as diabetes complications, postpartum haemorrhage, epistaxis, acute respiratory conditions, and febrile convulsion, while under adequate supervision.
• Attended ward rounds, made documentation, and reviewed the results of the investigation.
• Attended weekly outpatient Clinics and arranged follow-ups for patients.
• Worked on-call duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and dedication.
• Procedures done under supervision include urethral catheterisation, blood sampling, IV cannulation, and episiorrhaphy.
• Assisted in medical procedures such as laparotomy, caesarian section, appendicectomy, etc, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Attended Clinical meetings and presentations.
