I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years, mainly in Renal wards, outpatients and the community enteral nutrition team. I developed expertise in managing a wide variety of patients, consistently applying high standards of care. I am a conscientious professional with a strong commitment to meeting the needs of the patients, their families, and colleagues.

I developed my management skills in delegation, problem-solving, and working as a supportive team member to both junior and senior members of staff. I worked in a nurse-led outpatient unit, a cohort for Blood-Borne Virus patients. Which helped me to have sound knowledge in the screening, interpreting blood results and implementing the care appropriately.
I collaborated with microbiologists to develop infection management guidelines. I have experience in managing and preventing cross-infection.
I work closely with medical colleagues, providing nursing expertise whilst maintaining effective communication links both formally and informally with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. I have excellent cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
An additional quality is my ability to communicate effectively with patients and their relatives. I have had excellent feedback from the senior nurses on my communication skills, and I remain very supportive of all colleagues and staff.
