I am a highly skilled Royal Navy Aircraft Technician with extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and flight servicing, carrying out pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft safety and operational readiness IAW 5B1 flight servicing manual. Proficient in part identification, tool control, and the installation, testing, and replacement of aircraft components and systems IAW technical publications (CIETP) and engineering instructions. Experienced in fault diagnosis and problem-solving within safety-critical environments, ensuring effective rectification of defects while maintaining full compliance with airworthiness and engineering standards whilst still adhering compliance with the MAM-P. Demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting demanding operational deadlines, and accurately complete all mandatory maintenance documentation and records IAW the MAM-D.

My experience includes fault diagnosis, maintenance, and rectification of complex hydraulic systems, flying controls, transmission systems, and propulsion systems. I have carried out engine maintenance activities, including borescope inspections, to assess internal engine condition, identify defects, and support preventative maintenance programmes. Using technical publications and approved engineering procedures, I have successfully diagnosed faults, ordered and fitted replacement components, conducted functional testing, and returned aircraft to service while maintaining full compliance with airworthiness regulations. In addition, I have undertaken airframe inspections and damage assessment, carrying out airframe damage rectification in accordance with engineering limits and repair schemes. Before joining the Royal Navy I had completted my Plumbing and Gas Safe apprenticeship with J.S Campbells and Sons and undertook my technical trainining at Glasgow Kelvin Colleage located in Springburn.
