Over 20 years of decorating experience in all aspects of the job, from domestic homes to commercial premises, I have done my asbestos awareness course, also have my IPAF 3a/3b ticket.
I have a temporary cscs card but more than willing to do an NVQ level 2 or 3 at my own expense to gain a blue or gold card.
I’ve decorated many new builds from freshly plastered to dry lined homes to extremely high standards with zero snags from my part.
In my current role I am responsible for the full decoration. From single rooms to entire buildings.
I am extremely thorough in my work and very methodical which makes it easy for me to keep to strict time schedules, if we get delayed due to other trades before me I am usually capable of pulling it back by working late and out of hours to make sure the client is not faced with much disruption.
I’m able to assess a job and plan out all materials and amounts needed.
We also have agency and sub contractor painters which I then snag and rectify any defects in the work they have done.
In my role it requires driving all over the UK and many night away from home, easily clocking up 80-90 hours a week so I am far from work shy, when a job needs doing I will pull out all the stops and get it done
Due to covid I worked full time caring for adults with disabilities, my job was to come up with daily tasks and projects for us to do on a daily basis .
The main duty was to to all the maintenance on the premises and in turn teaching them the basics with general maintenance work
I worked from leaving school as a painter and decorator, it’s only covid that put a stop to it, I am confident to do everything from start to finish, from quoting, to ordering the correct amount of materials, to working closely with the property owners to keep them feeling at ease. Everything from pricing up to payment
