Summary

I am an experienced project manager with experience across systems development, infrastructure and business consulting. I have worked within a global consulting organisation and leading retail bank and gained experience working with both onshore and offshore project teams. I am also comfortable working in an Agile or waterfall environment with extensive experience with both methodologies and associated tools. Recent projects have included the migration of a credit card platform within the emerging markets division of a global financial services organisation, Migration to cloud of Risk Monitoring platform and project managing the replacement of the risk underwriting platform within a UK high street bank.

  • Project Manager for the sunset and migration of credit bureau data from the various risk acquisition and monitoring products. Key responsibilities were managing the delivery of cloud enablement including new AWS operational database, AWS Gateway API service and integration into the banks technology via B2B gateway.
  • Decommissioning of legacy platforms within the risk architecture and upgrading strategic components.
  • Reporting and presentation to all relevant senior governance forums within the extensive governance framework you would expect of a highly regulated global bank
  • Cloud / IaaS being relatively new navigating a new and often changing certification and security process involved many challenging forums and approvals. Successfully achieved within timeframes
  • Retail Risk PM for new Appian workflow. Responsible for managing the delivery of the business banking underwriting platform, integration into the banks systems via API gateway and subsequent business acceptance testing
  • Agile delivery managed the JIRA User Story creation, backlog management, refinement, issue management show and tells within the Kanban framework
  • Service Management delivery and certification for the new service
  • GDPR privacy lead. Developed Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) template with 3rd party PA Consulting team.
  • Worked with Legal and compliance teams to gain approval for the document and trialled with inflight and startup projects
  • Worked with all major internal San UK divisions in order to then integrate the DPIA and associated workflow into the banks existing governance framework. A highly challenging and complex landscape

  • Infrastructure project manager responsible for commissioning 162 servers to support the RBS Big Data programme
  • Working with 3rd party companies BT and Accenture to commission a network design and purchase of associated hardware at a budget of around 3 million
  • Plan development and management of the delivery and installation of the hardware and networking components
  • Risk and Issue management within the RBS governance
  • Co ordination and oversight of OAT Test planning to ensure new technology is fit for purpose

  • Due to proposed merger with RBS/Williams & Glynn this involved introducing IT components to replace the existing manual processes to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Hugely complex process with strong resistance from user community used to manual and flexible workflow
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the Model Office acceptance testing of all new risk underwriting components

  • Created over arching current account delivery plan between Post Office and IT Supplier Bank of Ireland
  • Project temporarily put on hold due to funding so ensured comprehensive handover to project team and this was subsequently picked up 6 months after my departure

  • Managing the discovery phase for the delivery of a current account platform for Tesco Bank as part of 3rd party provider
  • Co Ordinated/facilitated requirement gathering workshops with client to determine initial scope
  • Discovery phase statement of work agreed with client
  • Due to delays with upstream Savings and Credit Cards rollout the Current Account project was paused for 18 months so the discovery work was not progressed until a later date

  • Project Manager for Cards business testing workstream. Responsible for working with Lloyds Business SME’s to define the scope of testing required to provide adequate coverage for the key workstream within business testing. Subsequently responsible for turning the defined scope into an agreed test plan within timeframes and tracking the plan through to successful completion
  • Worked with 3rd Party Supplier First Data Systems to develop integrated Test Execution Plan Developed detailed run plan defining daily test execution schedule.
  • Daily Metrics defined and communicated to key stakeholders
  • Managed defect resolution process with 3rd party supplier First Data to ensure fix release schedule was remaining in line with test timelines
  • Worked with 3rd party Card Bureau Oberthur to develop an agreed plan for production of test cards

  • Project Manager for MI delivery to support partnership credit card proposition. Taking requirements from internal business customers and working with 3rd party provider and internal IT Suppliers to deliver the solution.
  • Role subsequently augmented to incorporate Supplier Manager responsibilities of Partnership credit card business key technology suppliers. Specifically First Data (FD) and TSYS.
  • Co-ordinated work with FD to identify timeline improvements for delivery of a standard core deal. Through this work we were jointly able to identify opportunities to save 6 weeks from the standard project plan - bringing the timeline down to the target 90 days and costs down to approx 400k .
  • Worked with GRCB to identify cost improvements for delivery of a standard deal. Through this work GRCB reduced the cost of delivery to 130k from 170k
  • Used as supplier management consultant to review and improve Barclaycard supplier management framework based on learning from the work carried out in partnerships.
  • Identified gaps in pipeline planning and pipeline communication with FD and GRCB. Set up and ran forums with business partner to address these gaps resulting in a more accurate resource forecast for 2009.

  • Worked with offshore project team to define and execute test strategy and migration plan.
  • Managed through to completion of build phase, the project to deliver DR capability for the cards platform and the project to deliver SMS alerting to UAE
  • Data centre migration completed with all functionality available post migration
  • Produced over arching migration plan for implementation weekend. Agreed with senior client stakeholders and 3rd party supplier.

  • Worked with Accenture client team to manage cross project dependencies and streamline testing effort.
