  • Led academy to its first "Good" Ofsted grade in schools history.
  • Managed all administrative tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations within the academy.

  • Led academy to headline outcomes at KS4 consistently above national average for EM5+ (46% 2023, 48% 2024 - NA 44.8%)
  • Ensured attendance remained in line with national figures (91% for 2024/25) despite impact of high numbers of EHCP students who have a lower NA than non-EHCP. Strategies for academy attendance have led to a 3% increase since 2023/24 and the most improved academy for attendance within the learning partnership.
  • Supported a large number of staff through both a TA restructure and a support staff job alignment process within 3 years, whilst maintaining confidence and motivation of the staff impacted.
  • Oversaw annual building work which has included a new swimming pool, refurbished ERS, staffroom, SEND Hub, on-site Alternative Provision, classrooms, student toilets, performing arts stage and lighting in addition to facilities and grounds maintenance, balancing budget and schedules against professional expectations and safety.
  • Ensured academy had a stimulating environment for optimal learning conditions, modernising the academy building as required.
  • Liaised with the Local Governing Body 6 times per year providing detailed updates on all aspects of academy progress at LGB meetings ensuring KPI's were analysed and there was transparency in all decision-making processes.
  • Established strong relationships with local community, including parents/carers, local businesses, academy neighbours and local community organisations, maintaining a positive public image of the academy.
  • Led staff development programmes to improve overall quality of instruction.

  • Deputised for the Principal as required supporting the day to day running of the school and key decision-making.
  • Joined the Leadership Team in 2013, when the school was placed in special measures and played a key role on a journey of school improvement to "Requires Improvement" in 2015 and then Good in 2021 (as Principal)
  • Data lead for academy with the responsibility to produce, share and interpret academy outcome data to all key stakeholders.
  • Analysed student data through ASP (Analysing School Performance) and shared outcomes with academy staff, leadership team and LGB.
  • Progress outcomes improved from -0.82 in 2017 to +0.11 in 2019 and have consistently remained close to zero since. Headline data for EM5+ improved from 35% in 2017 to 48% in 2019 and have consistently remained above national average since.)
  • Successfully introduced SISRA Analytics to all staff within the academy in 2017 which all staff now use routinely.
  • Lead member of staff within the academy for curriculum development, assessment, target setting and examinations including the role of BTEC quality nominee.
  • Successfully developed and implemented a new KS3 assessment system as part of a trust working group, using cross trust assessments and standardised scores to measure student progress which is now embedded across 3 academies.
  • Had responsibility for academy timetabling and successfully completed and maintained 3x timetables using Nova-T6 before training two further colleagues to take on this role.
  • Had responsibility for academy curriculum development and implementation and was also appointed as Trust Lead for Curriculum and successfully co-ordinated exam board alignment at KS4 and KS5, TLR collaboration meeting structure, the initiation of a medium term plans and centralised resources for each faculty area which are now embedded.
  • Lead member of staff for Faculty Performance Meetings, which were implemented as part of a whole school approach to the quality assurance of strategies being used at a faculty level to improve student outcomes.
