Summary

During my three years within higher education, I have received a final mark of a 2.1 degree. For the duration of this course, I have been allowed to further develop and encounter new skills which I can now use to help my next employer. Subjects that I have studied during my final year of my degree are modules such as; credit risk analysis and management, further tax theory and practice as well as financial management. Whilst studying my higher education I have been described as a hard-working individual, a team player and someone who is willing to adapt to any new situation that is given to me to be as efficient as possible. Whilst studying my degree I have worked in part time jobs in order to gain experience for when I finish my degree so that I can use this to help my new employer. I have had the pleasure of working in the accounts department at Dyson during the summer periods as well as working in recruitment during the academic years. Within the accounting role at Dyson I was able to gain first-hand experience into what my future role would entail, whilst working in the recruitment sector allowed me to improve skills such as communication from staff level up through to management levels. Overall, I have built a good career foundation to work upon and I hope as an employer you will take this into account so that I can progress into my future career path.

  • Multiple pull-outs as well as shortages on staffing levels meant communication with Greencore management was a key part of the working week.
  • The role was fast paced as well as high pressured.

  • During my time at Newcross Healthcare I was working in a very fast paced environment, the main responsibilities included allocation of staff for last minute shifts as well as allocation for staff who either called in sick or did not show
  • This role involved having a good relationship with the staff, so when you called them up in last minute situations, they would tend to help you and cancel plans or other work they have lined up
  • It was important to have a good relationship with staff that I worked with within the office as well as the agency staff that I was allocating the shifts towards.
  • My colleagues and regular customers often spoke highly of me, stating that I was friendly, hard-working and ultimately a pleasure to work with.

Credit Control

  • Whilst working for Dyson, I had to manage multiple accounts for multiple countries for multiple businesses
  • Dealing with allocation of a high level of funds
  • Overseeing credit limits and allocation of fund to each business.
  • This was a fast-paced environment which meant I had to pick up how each country worked as I was switched from country to country due to low staffing levels during this period.
  • I had to learn quickly how each country was operated via the system as well as the different types of communication that was required when communicating between different countries.
  • Working closely within the team it was essential as we needed at least part level knowledge on each staff members allocated workload due to sickness and holidays
