My role as Sales Manager at National Skirting, I have taken on the challenge the company’s transition into B2B sales from a solely online retail model. Beginning in July 2023, I stepped into this newly established role with no existing customer base, no defined pricing structures, and minimal operational systems for sales management. In a short span of time, I have made significant strides in laying the groundwork for long-term growth and profitability.

Key Achievements:

High level of Business Development which Successfully established a customer base from scratch, securing various small to medium-sized housebuilders and 4 independent builders and currently secured the business for supplying branch stock for Travis Perkins Leicester , Wigston along with direct to site business for Travis Perkins Southampton, Cambridge, Sheffield, Leicestershire ,Nottinghamshire and Coventry.

Achieved a total spend of nearly £80k across new accounts in the five months, with a forecasted growth to £500k+ year.

Along with winning the business from one of the major industry players such as Travis Perkins. My next adventure is to conquer another key player Jewsons, with Travis Perkins now onboard we have the potential to drive exponential growth which would take the forecast to around £1m

Introduced and implemented new cost and selling price templates, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.

Developed a bespoke quoting and invoice system within Xero to streamline and professionalize the sales process

I also maintained a ledger of smaller clients who reached out to me to ensure that they could run their projects within their budgets.

The best part of this experience was seeing the trust and loyalty I had built with my customers translate into real results.

This also boosted the company's reputation by delivering results that were favourable for both the customers and the company. It reminded me how a mix of strategy, persistence, and genuine relationships can drive exceptional outcomes.

My time at this company was short due to another opportunity at National Skirting that i couldn't turn down.

My role as Site Manager for AG Homes, part of the AG Group, I was responsible for overseeing the transformation of the Coors building in Burton-on-Trent into 70 modern apartments.

My Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Led all phases of the construction and renovation process, ensuring the project adhered to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Team Leadership: Coordinated and supervised contractors, subcontractors, and on-site teams to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.

Reporting into Construction director whilst working to a tight build program.

Quality Assurance: Conducted regular inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and project specifications.

Problem-Solving: Addressed and resolved construction-related issues

swiftly to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.

My role as assistant site manager I worked on the following sites : Woodhurst (Ibstock), Broadleaf ( Ashby de la Zouch) and Oaklands (Tamworth).

Managed site Labourers, 30 plus Sub Contractors on a daily basis to maintain quality of build. I managed the plots from Roof build stage through to 12 weeks post legal completion along with the customer NHBC survey was completed.


Completing home demonstrations with clients and taking them through their journey from moving into their new home. Worked closely with the sales advisers / sales managers ensuring ALL customers extras was in place. Communication is key.


Managing customer expectations by ensuring we go above and beyond their expectations whilst ensuring 99% Customer Care satisfaction and during my time as this site.


Monitoring day to day health and safety temporary works check list,

Inducting and supplying subcontractors with toolbox talks.

Carry out weekly stock checks to ensure materials have been delivered so works for the following week can be carried out.

Complete material call off for second fix trades onwards.

Continually working with Building inspector to achieve and maintain quality on site.

My role as ABM I brought the energy back into TP Narborough with a wide range of new business connections and revenue generation opportunities by improving networking strategies. This branch was failing drastically, sales was declining heavily and quickly due to the previous manager made a move to our competitor and taking over 50% of the customers business with him.


With my contacts, and sales skills I gained from my previous role it was my time to step up.


Myself and our team boosted net profit into a positive margin from a huge decline as above.


Worked closely with sales representatives to develop strong customer connections and promote long-lasting relationships. Put myself out on the road dropping onto sites / cold calling which gained new business.
