* I have previously worked as a part-time seasonal ranger on Cairngorm Mountain in the summer of 2023 When I was younger I also worked as a Seasonal Countryside Ranger on Rothiemurchus Estate, near Aviemore for 5 summer seasons from 1988-1993
* I am an experienced skier and have had previously held BASI Instructor Awards for Nordic and Telemark Skiing
* I have skied in the Cairngorms for approximately 40 years
* I have booked in for an Emergency Outdoor 2 day First Aid Course at Badaguish on 26th & 27th May 2026
(The last of approximately 12 similar courses completed over the years)
* I have a significant amount of hill experience in the Scottish Highlands I have walked, climbed and skied a round of The Munros in my early twenties I know the Cairngorms very well as I have been resident in Strathspey for approximately 40 years
* I have confidence in working with others collaboratively after teaching in schools for approximately 30 years and in various other roles related to visitor services for another 10 years
* I have good customer care skills after working in various roles in visitor services and from my teaching experience
* I retired from teaching in August 2021
