From 1994 to 2017, I served as an Accountant and Business Owner at a medium-sized accountancy practice. I was responsible for strategic advice to medium to large businesses around business operations, audits, corporate finance, and forecasting. In 2006, Mr. Jones became an equity partner at this firm.
In 2017, Mr. Jones established Social Personnel, a UK-based group of staffing firms specializing in health care and social care. Within the four years, the Applicant managed to grow this group of companies to £60 million (approximately $75,827,100[1]) revenue per year with excess of 90 employees and with a significant market share. The business provided professional recruitment solutions for social workers seeking new opportunities or a local authority seeking newly qualified staff. Featuring over 150 contracts throughout the United Kingdom with local authorities and other leading public and private organizations, Social Personnel was a market leader and the 1st choice for anyone seeking jobs or needing qualified staff in the social care sector. Social Personnel worked with senior professionals to assist them with their staffing requirements and whilst doing this the business developed a large network of executive contacts. As a result, the business expanded into the interim and executive market within local authorities enabling the business to build an elite network of decision-makers within the UK-wide local authorities and at the same time providing additional revenue streams. The business was awarded the Health Trust and Work Force Alliance Frameworks meaning the company was fully accredited to supply all of the NHS in the UK with healthcare professionals. In December 2021, Mr. Jones sold his shares for a six-figure sum as part of a management buyout.
In 2022, I invested in a new group of staffing companies in the UK in the healthcare, life sciences, and social workspace. Within two years the group has a turnover of approximately £70 million (approximately $88,464,950). The group is expected to generate EBITDA of £2.1 million (approximately $2,653,109) in 2024 which for a business reaching three years of age is considered very successful.
