As a night vehicle recovery operative I was responsible for coordinating and managing the dispatch of recovery or roadside vehicles to those in need. We not only helped those in Essex, London and Kent but also the whole of the UK and parts of Europe.
I worked closely with the recovery drivers to ensure we had the correct information to find those in need. Organisational skills and remaining calm under pressure were required all the time.
I also took phone calls from customers who need to report accidents to their insurance companies.
As a home help I visited the over 50's in their homes on a regular basis undertaking housework, shopping and other tasks required.
My clerical assistant job was supporting the co-ordinator by undertaking office duties, inputting data, invoicing and doing the wages for the home helps. Also covering the co ordinator when she was on annual leave or off sick.
I worked in a busy main Post Office, helping people posting items, issuing DSS benefits, car taxes, TV licences, checking passport and driving licence applications.
I also trained as assistant branch manager and enjoyed the responsibility of organising the rotas, covering holiday/ sick cover and dealing with customer issues.
I worked for various temping agencies doing general administration work, bookkeeping, filing, reception work and a call centre.
Working for a local newspaper that has separate issues for the South London boroughs. I ran the motors department and answered calls from the general public and businesses wishing to advertise items for sale or services they provided. Also organising the pages and meeting deadlines to go to print.
As a cashier I served the general public and helped restocking the shelves and putting items back.
As a supervisor I helped organise breaks for the checkout staff, shifts and holiday/sick cover.
Many years of experience of working with the general public in person and on the telephone I can work on my own using my own initiative and with others
