Supporting Statement:

After 11 years as a Midwife, I have made a conscious decision to pursue a new direction within health and social care leadership. During my career, I have developed extensive experience in supporting vulnerable individuals, managing risk, leading teams, safeguarding, and coordinating complex services.

While I remain proud of my contribution to maternity services, I recognised that my strengths and interests have increasingly aligned with leadership, service delivery, staff development, and supporting individuals with ongoing and complex needs. This is what has led me to seek a role where I can continue to make a positive difference while applying my management, communication, and operational skills in a new setting.

I am particularly attracted to supported living services because of their focus on promoting independence, wellbeing, dignity, and person-centred support. I believe my experience of working with vulnerable people, managing challenging situations, leading teams, and maintaining high standards of care and governance would enable me to make a valuable contribution as a Service manager.
