Working across various hospitals caring for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health diagnoses, I have held both staff nurse and deputy ward manager roles with duties including:

• Working collaboratively with management and a multidisciplinary team
• Navigating new work environments and adapting in an efficient manner. Safely managing high pressure and crisis situations
• Leading, supporting and supervising staff nurses, student nurses, and nursing assistants
• Conducting patient assessments and risk assessments, implementing and evaluating treatment plans

Assessing a wide variety of health conditions and producing detailed written reports. Skills developed in this role include:

• Analysing vast amounts of data to address inconsistencies and consistencies. Producing a robust written report that met strict organisational guidelines
• Completing thorough face to face and telephone assessments in order to gain adequate detail required for a comprehensive and objective report
• Managing workload to ensure targets and quotas are met in efficiently and to a high standard

Deputising and acting up as ward manager in a variety of ward environments, including adolescent PICU, adolescent step-down, and adult forensic secure services.

• Working closely with senior managers to carry out Root Cause Analysis investigations, and manage Serious Incidents.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills whilst managing a diverse healthcare workforce effectively
• Carrying out regular audits to uphold company policies, NMC standards and CQC expectations within the clinical environment

Managing activities on a fast-paced psychiatric intensive care unit for adolescents.
