PROJECTS

Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in AI Organisations

Masters Thesis during Graduate Program at the University of the West of England (UWE)

This project used a Python-based web scrapper for PDF documents and web pages to measure how AI-based organisations use AI.

Sample organisations in the cybersecurity/IT solutions and beauty industries were used to measure how ethically they use AI. The basis for the justification was the SUM principles and FAST track principles set by the UK government in collaboration with the Alan Turing Institute.

Using PowerBI to analyse and visualise the results obtained from the web scrapper, it was noted that the sample companies in the cybersecurity/IT solutions industry are very conscious of the ethical use of AI in their organisations.

The sample organisations in the beauty industry who were found to work with top beauty brands were found to not use AI ethically, they used the words often associated with the ethical use of AI as marketing strategies to grow clientele.
