• Working in all weathers closely with South West Water on their numerous contracts including enhanced bathing waters, shellfish waters and waste water.

•Responsible for driving company vans, collecting samples and dropping off samples within correct times at SWW labs in Exeter and Redruth.

•Trained to use Auto sampler equipment, Aquatroll probe sondes, CHEMets tests, Hanna salinity meters, Hobo temperature loggers and calibrating equipment ensuring final readings are accurate.

• Welcoming visitors to Crantock and Holywell whilst actively responding to queries, concerns and complaints during peak busy periods.

• Daily site checks includes; assessing sand-dune erosion, all signage, posts and fencing. Undertaking site litter picks and ordering skips when needed, clearing vegetation blocking important signage and path access and filling in potholes. Cleaning and fixing P&D machines effectively. Cleaning the NT hut, ensuring hut supply is full and reporting back to the line manager.

• Conducted surveys based on the interpretation panels and Coastal Change of Crantock beach.

• Easing traffic providing information about other parking options to visitors in long queues, communicating with colleagues and visitors to improve the experience and working closely alongside local communities/businesses and lifeguards to successfully work in harmony and to improve rapport.

• Meeting and greeting clients, responding to queries. completing paperwork and checking client waiver forms and undertaking risk assessments and assessing conditions.

• Leading and assisting with outdoor water sport activities for a mixture of groups of different ages and abilities. Providing customer care and first aid when needed.

• Sales on the shop floor, processing cash payments. Dealing with all elements of Hire; delivering safety talks, kitting clients up and contacting clients.
