I am 24 year olds and have just moved to the area from New Zealand. I have previously worked in the hospitality industry for 6 years, warehousing industry for 3 years and aviation industry for 1 year. I am seeking full time work but will be looking to go off travelling at certain points of the year.
Similar role as stated below, without any management responsibilities. I came back to work here as they needed the extra help and it gave me a more stable role in the months leading up to me moving to the UK.
Long haul cabin crew role in premium economy and economy cabins. I worked long haul flights mainly to America, India & Australia. My role includes assisting passengers during boarding and disembarking, ensuring passenger and cabin safety at all times. Demonstrating safety equipment and procedures. Providing customer service to all passengers throughout the flight; serving meals, drinks and snacks. Administer first aid to passengers on board. Working in a team.
Logistics based role in a very busy, demanding and high stress work environment. Main duties include packing and processing inwards and outwards goods, stock control, liaising with freight forwarders and courier companies, monitoring stock levels and inter-branch transfers. I was the 2IC when the Manager was at other branches or away on leave and supervised a team of 3 people.
Waitressing role in a fast-paced cafe/licensed restaurant where I supervised the floor team. I worked long shifts through day and night service (up to 12 hours per day). During day service I was in charge of running food, serving customers, making coffees and helping with food preparation and plating in the kitchen. During night service I would bar-tend, run food & drinks as well as table service. I was in charge of the stock inventory and daily stock orders. I was also in charge of staff training. This position helped me gain great leadership skills as well as time management, effective communication and the ability to manage high stress situations.
In October 2020 Chairs changed ownership to Little and local. My front of house management role was the same as above with an additional promotion to a Team leader in charge of junior staff.
