Summary

A dedicated and resourceful individual with two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant, progressing from Level 3 in my first year to Level 4 in my second. During my second year, I worked within a Specialist Resource Base (SRB), a dedicated behaviour unit supporting students with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs. This has equipped me with strong behaviour management strategies, adaptive communication skills, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with challenging learners. Alongside my education experience, I have three years in hospitality, including independently managing a small restaurant, which strengthened my organisational skills and resilience under pressure. I also gained valuable cross-cultural experience working in Lesotho, further developing my teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.

Participated in a exchange program with my high school travelling to Lesotho in Africa

Back in October 2022, I participated in a cultural exchange program with my high school through the Dolen Cymru and Welsh Government Taith initiative, which took me to Lesotho. During this trip, I taught Welsh to local students, developing cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals from vastly different backgrounds. Meeting the British Ambassador to Lesotho broadened my understanding of international relations and diplomacy, deepening my appreciation for global cooperation. Immersing myself in Lesotho’s vibrant culture required adaptability, resilience, and effective communication -qualities that I continue to apply in both personal and professional contexts.

Volunteering at Treganna Primary School

Assistant at Clwb Cymer Ofal (After-School Club): Supported staff in supervising children, coordinating activities, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment - developing strong communication, time management, and crisis-resolution skills.

Learning Support Assistant (Bac Programme): Collaborated with teachers to tailor educational support for students with varying needs, enhancing adaptability, attention to detail, and problem-solving.

Singing in the British and Irish council meeting 2021

I have sung with Ysgol Gymraeg Plasmawr for the British and Irish council meeting 2021 for ministers from all devolved Nations of the United Kingdom and Ireland, including the first Minister of Wales and Scotland at the time, Mark Drakeford and Nicola Sturgeon.

Bronze DOFE Award

In July 2021 I was successful in finishing the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Honor (DofE) which entailed a collection of difficult along with enduring tasks which have developed a large range of abilities. The program needed me to show willpower, resilience and time management. The experience developed my problem-solving capacities, improved my communication skills and cultivated a solid feeling of duty plus dedication.
